1. Definitions

  • Trade8: the company established at Euvelgunnerweg 25A, 9723 CV Groningen, The Netherlands, registered with the Chamber of Commerce under number 85131938.
  • Customer: the business user (B2B) who has an account on the Trade8 platform.
  • Agent: the Trade8-appointed representative in China who sources products, performs quality checks, and arranges shipping on behalf of the customer.
  • Platform: the Trade8 web application where products are discovered, orders are placed, and communication takes place.
  • Order: a request placed by the customer via the platform for the sourcing of products.
  • Product: an item that is searched for, offered, or ordered from Chinese suppliers via the platform.

2. Account and Registration

The Trade8 platform is intended exclusively for business use (B2B). By creating an account, you confirm that you are acting on behalf of a company. You are responsible for providing accurate and up-to-date company information and for keeping your login credentials confidential.

3. Services

Trade8 provides a platform for sourcing products from Chinese suppliers. Our services include:

  • Product discovery: searching and finding products from Chinese suppliers using AI-powered search technology
  • Agent sourcing: a personal agent in China who negotiates with suppliers on your behalf
  • Quality control: inspection of products at our warehouse before they are shipped
  • Shipping: arrangement of sea or air freight from China to your location

4. Pricing and Payment

All prices on the platform are displayed in euros (EUR) and are exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated. Payments are processed through our payment provider Mollie. Invoices must be paid within the agreed payment terms. Trade8 reserves the right to suspend orders in case of outstanding payments.

5. Orders

Quotes are valid for the period stated on the quote. An order is established upon acceptance of the quote by the customer and confirmation by Trade8. Cancellation is possible as long as the order has not yet been placed with the supplier. Once placed with the supplier, cancellation is no longer possible unless otherwise agreed.

6. Quality Control

All products are inspected by our agent in China at our warehouse. You will receive photos, dimensions, and weight data for review. Products are only shipped after your explicit approval via the platform. After approval, Trade8 is not liable for quality issues that were visible during inspection.

7. Shipping and Delivery

Trade8 offers sea and air freight options. Delivery times are indicative and depend on the chosen shipping method, customs clearance, and external factors. Risk of the goods transfers to the customer upon handover to the carrier (Ex Works warehouse China), unless otherwise agreed.

8. Liability

Trade8 endeavours to perform its services to the best of its ability. Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the relevant order. Trade8 is not liable for indirect damages, consequential damages, or damages due to force majeure, including but not limited to supplier delays, transport issues, customs matters, or natural disasters.

9. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights to the Trade8 platform, including software, design, and content, belong to Trade8. The customer retains all rights to their own product designs, trademarks, and packaging designs shared via the platform. Trade8 uses these exclusively in the context of its services.

10. Privacy

Trade8 processes personal data in accordance with the GDPR. For more information, please refer to our privacy policy.

11. Applicable Law

These terms and conditions and all agreements between Trade8 and the customer are governed by Dutch law. Disputes shall be submitted to the competent court in the district of Northern Netherlands (Groningen).

12. Amendments

Trade8 reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions. Changes will be communicated to registered customers by email at least 30 days in advance. Continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the amended terms.
